Friday Night Fights: Battlin' Jack - Round 11: Past Cops Vs. Alternate Present Cop!

We've heard the "Astronauts Vs. Cavemen" argument before, but for tonight's round of Friday Night Fights: Battlin' Jack I'll be giving you past cops vs. future present alternate present cops, courtesy of Rocket Girl#1 by Brandon Montclare and Amy Reeder. Synopsis: A teenage cop named Dayoung Johanssen from the high-tech future of 2013 (and this is in a comic that came out in 2013-- so trust me, there's a reason for this) time-travels back to New York City circa 1986 to investigate the megacorporation Quintum Mechanics (no relation to this guy....I think) for crimes against time. In the course of her investigation, 1986 New Yorkers give her the nickname "Rocket Girl", hence the comic's name.


Here's her first meeting with members of New York's Finest circa '86.

As it turns out, that's exactly what they do....or at least try to. (Please forgive the panel overlap, but I think you'll find it's worth it.)
