My 30-Second Review Of The Vice-Presidential Debate

Remember during the Giffen-Dematteis run on Justice League when Mr. Miracle had to leave Earth to go on a universal tour, and he left a Mr. Miracle robot home in his place, and the robot started malfunctioning and repeating the same pre-programmed phrases over and over, until it eventually got destroyed by Despero and made everyone think Scott was dead?

Sarah Palin's performance in the debate reminded me of that robot.

Joe Biden was Despero.

Did you notice that she never answered a single question that the moderator asked? On the other hand, she did manage to get onto the stage without tripping, so I guess that counts as a "win".

The bar for Palin was set so low Ant-Man could have cleared it.

She was blatantly trying to work the "I'm one of you than the Democrat" trick against the one Democrat who DIDN'T have this weakness. It's like trying to use a yellow baseball bat against a fully-powered Kyle Rayner.

As a moderator, Gwen Ifill was complete Jello. At least Jim Lehrer TRIED to keep the debaters focused on the questions he originally asked.

I noticed that when Biden was asked about specific goals/improvements Obama/Biden would have to forestall because of the budget shortfall, Biden actually gave some specifics, something even Obama danced around in last week's debate. Hopefully, that's due to Barack & Joe having a week more of time to reassess their priorities and not Joe giving his own opinion.
